Despite its ruggedness, the 4227 plus is actually
built for speed, printing at speeds up to 720 cps (150 cps in Near
Letter Quality) on continuous form or cut sheet, 8 part multipart
forms and labels or envelopes. The unique 400 million-character
printhead life lowers maintenance costs while the 18 pin design
extends print head life. Virtually straight paper path eliminates
jamming while the new autogap printhead automatically adjusts to
form or paper thickness and any size between 3" and 22". Throw in
the 10, 000 hour mean time between failure rating (at 50% duty) and
60KB buffer memory and you have every reason to hit the print key
and go without a second thought. Tractor 2 feed option lets you
load two forms simultaneously and switch between them and one touch
of a button.
